Our Story

Edward and Tracey-Anne's story began under swaying palm trees and crystal-clear waters. Edward, a South African hotelier with a twinkle in his eye, ran beautiful resorts in the Seychelles. Tracey-Anne, a vibrant British-Seychellois travel agent, brought a touch of sunshine (and perhaps a few booking challenges) to his days. Sparks flew amongst the curious coconuts and turquoise waves, setting the stage for a remarkable journey.

They married, and after spending 3 glorious years in the Seychelles, their adventure continued in the lush jungles of Borneo, where they raised two incredible daughters. Edward tackled the challenge of building and managing a 5-star hotel, occasionally encountering curious orangutans! Meanwhile, Tracey-Anne explored the world of wellbeing (which has led her to a psychology degree and certifications in life coaching, hypnotherapy, Bowen therapy, and Yin Yoga.)

West Malaysia became their next chapter. Here, Edward became the ringmaster of a colossal resort – the largest integrated resort in the world, in fact one of the hotels on the property had a staggering 7,300 rooms, securing a Guinness World Record! Under Edward’s leadership, The resort gained Malaysia's first and only 5-Star Luxury Forbes accredited hotel.

But after 26 years of Malaysian adventures, they yearned for a new horizon where they could swap their business attire for Barbour Jackets. In 2023, they stumbled upon the charming village of Hughley in Shropshire, England. It was love at first sight (again!), this time with rolling hills replacing mountainous jungles and crashing waves. Shropshire offered the perfect place to put down roots and embark on a new project: this very holiday haven you see before you!

Life has taken a delightful turn. Jungle treks have been replaced by countryside walks, but Edward's twinkle hasn't dimmed, and Tracey-Anne's passion for wellness burns brighter than ever. (She's a whiz at helping people find their inner zen!) They're excited to share their love for travel, adventure, and a good cup of tea (because, England!) with you.

So come explore Shropshire's hidden gems, and let Edward and Tracey-Anne welcome you to their little slice of paradise!
